Cape Town Wedding: Gordon and Liz

Aah, the lovely wedding of Liz and Gordon. The loveliest bride you ever did meet. We hit it off as soon as we met and we got to the planning right away. They live in the UK and only came down once or twice before the wedding, so we spent a lot of time on email planning everything.

Liz is a chef, so the catering was super important to her. They chose the stunning Boschendal for their 3 day event and the chefs pulled out all the stops to make sure the guests enjoyed their delicious meals throughout their stay. 

Liz was adamant on having an outdoor wedding, the wind was not doing us any favours on the day of setup, and my planner brain was nervous, but the weather gods came out and did their thing and blessed us with the most stunning day. Everything was outside, the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing. It was such a joy to seeing an empty lawn become such a special place for all their family and friends to come together and enjoy such a beautiful day. 

I LOVED the decor, it looked incredible in the day and even more beautiful once the sun set. Rowenna and her team were brilliant! Liz was so lovely and ordered all her gold items from my new hiring company – The Hire Haus, just a quick punt there 🙂

They chose The Black Ties as their band for the evening, and they killed it! They had the dance floor calling for an encore, it was such a buzz.
