Cape Town Wedding: Shannon & Tyler

After a year and a half of planning with Shannon, it was so lovely to finally have her and Tyler in Cape Town and see their wedding come together at Vrede en Lust.

When you spend that much time planning with someone, you become quite invested in their day. There are so many conversations, ideas and decisions along the way, and then suddenly it’s wedding week and everything you’ve been talking about is actually happening. That part never gets old for me.

And Cape Town really did show off! We had the most amazing weather, with Vrede en Lust looking as beautiful as ever. There is something so special about having everyone together to celebrate, especially when you’ve been looking forward to it for so long.

The décor was classic white, paired with soft, understated stationery that brought everything together so beautifully. The flowers were soooo lovely! Nothing felt overdone, and I loved how the details complemented the setting. It was elegant and thoughtful, but still felt relaxed and welcoming, which is such a lovely balance for a wedding.

As beautiful as everything looked, the best part was seeing Shannon and Tyler enjoying it all with their favourite people. After so many months of planning, this was their time to let go, have fun and take it all in. And they certainly did!

Once it was time to party, everyone fully committed. This crowd was ready for a good night, and there was plenty of dancing, laughter and celebrating. I do love a beautiful wedding, but I love it even more when everyone has an absolute ball.

Shannon and Tyler, thank you for trusting me with such a special day. It was such a pleasure bringing it all together with you, and a little bittersweet saying goodbye after a year and a half of planning. Wishing you so much love, happiness and many more reasons to celebrate together.
