Dolapo and Gbenga were married at the lovely Vrede en Lust in Franschhoek, Cape Town. They live in Nigeria and they flew down with close family and friends to celebrate their beautiful day and hired me as their wedding planner to help make it all happen.
Their ceremony was filled with deep tradition, love and prayer.
It was a beautiful day and I loved being witness to it.
The decor was white, gold and elegant. It really worked so well in the glass venue. As a wedding planner, you see a lot of the same things over and over again, and even though this colour palette wasn’t very different, it looked so elegant and different to other weddings I have done in just white, I really loved it. The draping was perfect for this type of set up and it was beautifully put together by Pippa from Wildeflower.
The bridal party and couple photos were taken just as the sun peaked through the clouds for a few minutes. It was such a gorgeous sunset over the vines. The reception was such a lot of fun. They danced the whole night long and were so good at it! Dolapo changed out of her wedding dress and into a stunning new dress for the all the dancing. It was lovely to see them have such a good time. To the happy couple, wishing you all the love and happiness in the world!
