Cape Town Wedding: Natalie and David

David and Natalie! What a ride!

David messaged me on instagram late one night, it was 5 weeks to go before their wedding and they had not planned much, the person that was helping them wasn’t getting stuff done and he was in a bit of a panic to say the least (as they live in Dubai). We all jumped on a call the next day and hit it off instantly.

I got to work immediately. I cant say I have ever planned an international wedding with only 5 weeks to go, but now I can! It was a whirlwind of planning from start to finish. We had to go over everything they had already done (which was not very much) but then we also had to rearrange what was planned as it wasn’t all correct.

I frantically emailed and called suppliers, set up meetings, mock ups and food tastings – but within a matter of weeks, we had pulled it all together.

Their crowd was a VIBE! They were a lovely bunch of people and the day was so much fun.

We first did a welcome party for everyone which was hosted by David the groom, Natalie the bride was getting ready during this time. It was a bit of a Bridgerton vibe where the groom welcomes everyone when they arrive at the wedding. We did that up at the Manor House on the lawns, once all guests were there, we moved them down to the ceremony lawn and Natalie made her grand entrance.

Once the ceremony was complete, they made their way to the deck area for cocktails, live music and good food! Their reception was also on the deck and they wanted this to be a bit of a surprise, so we draped off that area until the guests were asked to take their seats at the dinner table.

Once speeches and dinner were complete, they cut the cake, moved into the courtyard for their first dance, and then headed inside to the dance floor. The Black Ties opened the floor, ASAP staffing had espresso martinis waiting as the door opened, and then they danced the night away!

Thank you David and Natalie for putting your trust in me on such short notice and with very little to go on. I truly enjoyed the short time we spent together planning your day and I wish you all the love in the world!
