Cape Town Wedding: Lucy and Dane

Lucy and Dane’s wedding  at Vrede en Lust wine estate was a day to remember. As their wedding planner, I felt honoured to be a part of their special day, especially since Dane is my husband’s cousin. The pressure was on to deliver a flawless event, but I’m happy to say that everything went smoothly, and the couple had an unforgettable celebration.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding. The sun was shining, and there was a gentle breeze in the air. As the guests arrived, they were greeted with glasses of chilled champagne, setting the tone for a day of celebration and joy.

The ceremony took place in a beautiful garden overlooking the vineyards. Lucy looked radiant in her gown, and Dane was beaming with happiness as he waited for his bride. The vows they exchanged were heartfelt and touching, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

After the ceremony, the guests were treated to a delicious meal prepared by the estate’s talented chefs. The food was paired with the estate’s award-winning wines, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to relax and mingle with friends and family. I must say, it was quite nice being a part of the festivities for once, although keeping a keen eye on everything at the same time 🙂

As the sun began to set, the elegant reception looked so pretty with all the shades of pink. The room was decorated with twinkling lights and beautiful floral arrangements. The newlyweds shared their first dance as husband and wife, and then the dance floor was open to everyone. The DJ played a mix of classic hits and current favorites, and the guests danced the night away.

It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and I was grateful to have been a part of it.
