On an unusually warm May afternoon, Alexa and Brad celebrated their wedding in true Mediterranean style. The day began at the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church, tucked away but transporting everyone straight to the heart of Greece. With its insanely beautifully decorated paintings inside, the flickering candles, and lovely florals, it set the perfect tone for a ceremony that was both sacred and deeply personal.
From there, guests made their way to Vergenoegd Löw wine estate. They enjoyed canapés on the lawns along with the chilled drinks and tunes from DJ Sox. It felt more like a late summer’s day than an autumn one. Their couple photos were taken at the perfect time during sunset. I was so happy it did not rain, as May can be such an unpredicitable month.
Dinner was hosted in the estate’s elegant restaurant, a space that felt both intimate and celebratory. The menu was a highlight, with their fresh, seasonal, and beautifully prepared food, it was delicious. Every course was met with compliments, but it was the tiramisu that truly stole the show. The couple finished off the large ‘wedding cake’ with a bit of cocoa dusting and then guests could help themselves.
What followed was a joyful blur of traditional Greek dancing, laughter, and music that kept everyone on their feet. The energy was infectious, and the love in the room was undeniable.
Alexa and Brad’s wedding was a beautiful blend of culture, flavours, and fun, an unforgettable day full of heart and personal touches. Thank you for allowing me to help plan such a special day for you. I wish you both all the love in the world!
