Some weddings are special not just because of the setting or the details, but because of the people at the heart of them. Sarah & Guy’s wedding at Waterford was one of those.
What can I say about Sarah? Truly one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. From the moment we connected, we hit it off instantly, her emails were as fast as mine and we were a perfect match for planning.
But more than that, during the planning process, I faced a personal health scare, and Sarah, despite planning her wedding, checked in on me almost daily. She treated me like family, never once making me feel bad for not replying right away (which I always try to do). That’s just who she is, so lovely, so thoughtful, and a truly special person. I just had to mention this because it speaks volumes about the kind of bride, and human, she is.
Set against the backdrop of Waterford Estate, one of the most breathtaking wine farms, Sarah & Guy’s wedding felt like a piece of Tuscany right here in South Africa.
The day was hot, really hot! But nothing could take away from the magic of the setting.

The in house chef, Beau from Salt, worked his magic with food that was simply phenomenal, every bite was unforgettable. If you are ever in the area, go for lunch, you won’t be sorry!
The décor was one of my all time favorites, long tables intertwined beneath the trees, chandeliers dropped from the branches, and florals that looked like they had grown there naturally. Everything felt effortlessly beautiful, as though the space had been waiting for this wedding all along.
As the sun set and the fairy lights twinkled, Sarah & Guy danced late into the night, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It was the kind of wedding that felt like a storybook ending to a perfect day.
Their wedding wasn’t just about the beautiful setting or the perfect details, it was about the people, the love, and the way they made everyone feel so welcome and included. Sarah & Guy, you are one of a kind, and it was such an honor to be part of your journey.
