I am so happy I get to blog these stunning photos!
Will and Mason live in the United States and we chatted regularly over the 9 months of planning to make sure everything was exactly how they wanted it for their big day.
Will and I become close over the months of planning and I enjoyed chatting to him about his wild and wonderful ideas.
They settled on the stunning Tintswalo Atlantic for their wedding day with 60 of their closest friends and family.
The logistics to set up a wedding with the type of look Will and Mason wanted took quite a bit of time and work, but we were all so happy with the overall look once completed. It had a feeling of a sophisticated dinner that then moved into a disco ball lit up club vibe for their dance floor.
Their ceremony was above the venue on the path way that overlooked the sea. We had a champagne truck for guests to enjoy before they said their vows, with the amazing Kirya Kuti and his band to entertain them. Once they said ‘I Do’, we passed custom made handkerchiefs around and the brass band played them down to the pool area for the cocktail hour. (They wanted to incorporate a bit of New Orleans into their special day and have a Second Line, and at a wedding in New Orleans, a Second Line signifies the start of a new beginning of life. The brass band and the couple start walking first, and the guests follow behind as they dance to music with handkerchiefs & parasols in hand) It was such fun to be a part of that.
The cocktail hour was filled with amazing food, oysters, live music and a special cocktail named after their dog.
A special shout out to the team at Botanica Flowers (specifically Meryl) for creating Will and Mason’s logo in the pool. It took them a long time to do and it looked so beautiful floating there during sunset.
The reception decor and flowers were just incredible. The whole look worked together so well and every little detail was thought about. The guests were blown away and I got many compliments throughout the night about how lovely everything looked. The hanging installations were insanely beautiful! Thank you to Rowenna, Meryl and the Botanica team, you were all amazing.
Once dinner and speeches were over, the couple opened the dance floor while Shen and his band played them in. Two Tons of Fun were the special surprise for the guests and they were incredibly vibrant and entertaining. The fire dancers were such fun to watch and even Will and Mason went down onto the rocks for a fire blessing. We even managed to incorporate a tarot card reader which was super cool! Once it was dark, we switched on the special lighting we had set up and lit up the ocean with rainbow lights. It was so beautiful to watch the waves crashing into the colours. Later in the night we handed out mardi gras beads and they rocked the dance floor until the early hours of the morning.
It was a very special wedding to be apart of.
Thank you Will and Mason for trusting me with your day. I loved going on this planning journey with you and I hope it was everything you had dreamt about. I wish you both all the love in the world and looking forward to catching up over a Moscow Mule cocktail when we meet again.
