Cape Town Wedding: Stephanie and David

When Stephanie and David flew in from Switzerland for their South African wedding, we knew it was going to be something truly special. As owners of a Michelin-star restaurant in Switzerland, their standards for food, wine, and hospitality were naturally sky-high, and only the best would do.

Their celebration began with a relaxed pre wedding braai, the perfect South African welcome for their guests who had travelled from all over the world to join them. Laughter, wine, and the smell of good ol South African meat set the tone for the weekend ahead.

Vergenoegd Löw provided the most beautiful backdrop, an elegant estate framed by historic Cape Dutch architecture, serene lawns, and their new vineyards that seem to stretch endlessly into the distance. The setting perfectly balanced sophistication and comfort, a reflection of who Stephanie and David are.

Anli Wahl and her team did a wonderful job bringing Stephanie’s colourful vision to life. Everything looked so bright, beautiful and happy.

Chef Drikus Brink designed a menu that was nothing short of perfection, every dish served with precision and heart. The wine flowed generously, poured only into the finest thin-stemmed glasses (because as Stephanie reminded us, “never a thick wine glass!”). And I tend to agree!

As the sun dipped behind the vines, guests gathered for speeches, laughter, and dancing. It was such a fun filled night and I am so honoured that I was part of their special day.

Thank you Stephanie and David for allowing me to play such an important role in your day. I loved getting to know you both and seeing the whole day come together. I cannot wait to come have lunch with you in Switzerland, until then, I wish you all the love in the world!
