Cape Town Wedding: Nicki and Andrew

When Nicki and Andrew set their sights on Molenvliet for their wedding, they dreamed of a perfect March day under the South African sun. Having travelled all the way from the UK, they were excited to celebrate with friends and family in the warm South African sun.

March is usually a beautiful summer month in the Cape Winelands, but as weddings often remind us, nature has its own plans. On Nicki and Andrew’s day, rain swept across the valley, making their original ceremony under the open sky, impossible.

It wasn’t the bride’s first choice, but our Plan B quickly came into play, a tent was set up, with some extra floral to make it really pretty. The ceremony was so lovely. Nothing some floral, a touch of live music and the clouds slowly making an opening during the vows, to make everything ok.

Despite the rain, the day was filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of dancing. Guests gathered close, enjoying the warm, festive atmosphere. The rain dropped gently outside while inside, the couple and their guests made unforgettable memories on the dance floor.

In the end, Nicki and Andrew’s day was a wonderful reminder that sometimes, a little rain can create the most beautiful moments, and that true love shines brightest, whatever the weather.
