When Aimee and James approached me to plan their wedding, their story was one for the books. Aimee, a proud Zimbabwean, and James, from the UK, met while working on yachts, sailing the world. It was only fitting that their wedding reflected their shared love for adventure, nature, and the simple joys of life.
Vrede en Lust was the idyllic setting for Aimee and James’s 3-day celebration.
The festivities kicked off with a relaxed evening of wine tasting. Guests were treated to a selection of Vrede en Lust’s finest wines, paired with a hearty, traditional South African braai. It was the perfect evening blending Aimee’s love for Zimbabwean warmth and hospitality with James’s English charm.
The second day was the wedding. Aimee looked radiant in her timeless gown, while James stood dashing in his tailored suit.
Every detail of the day was curated to perfection by Botanica Flowers. Soft, romantic florals adorned the tables and the soft draping added to the romantic feel.
The speeches were filled with laughter and a few happy tears, and the couple’s first dance was a serious vibe. Aimee changed her dress and they danced to Grease, it was so fun to watch!
To wrap up the weekend, Aimee and James hosted a laid-back pool party. It was a day of pure relaxation, with refreshing drinks and plenty of sun-soaked laughter. The perfect way to bid farewell to their guests, many of whom had traveled from around the world to celebrate with them.
It was a joy to bring their vision to life and witness their love celebrated in such an unforgettable way.
Thank you Aimee and James, you are truly such wonderful people, saying goodbye to you made me teary. I wish you both all the happiness the world has to offer!
