I just love these photos of Ally & Grant’s wedding. This couple flew from the UK for their intimate wedding and it was just so special and lovely. I am so glad that I get to share these beautiful photos with you today.
Ally and I hit it off right away, we planned everything over email and Skype. She is the nicest person, her main concern was her guests. They really wanted everyone to feel loved and appreciated. They treated us providers as if we were family. We got put up in lovely accommodation, given wine, sat with the guests, and they even gifted me with a beautiful ring.
They chose the lovely Leipzig Country House out in Worcestor. It is the perfect place for a small wedding. Everyone stayed on site, so it was a really lovely way for them to spend all their time with their guests.
The ceremony was in the small chapel, and when Grant saw his bride his face lit up and the tears flowed. It was such a special moment to watch. Ally had made sure that the moms were included in the ceremony and they each lit a candle. It was a wonderful ceremony filled with happy tears and many laughs.
They enjoyed a marimba band, canapes and drinks on the lawn during the cocktail hour. Claire found an amazing onion field to do their photoshoot in. I was so nervous when they ran a few minutes late, I confess that I may have raised my voice at poor Claire (sorry Claire – eeeek) BUT – it was worth the few minutes of extra time she took, the photos and the light are so stunning!
Botanica did such a great job creating Ally’s look. The flowers and decor really worked in the venue and once the sun set, it had a very romantic feel to it. The stationary from Lara’s Designs was perfect for the wine farm look, and the menu’s looked as though they had wine stains on them – loved this idea.
Their bridal party were such nice people. They snuck out after starters for a few shots before the sun went down.
The reception was filled with happy speeches, great food and fabulous wine. Shots of Springboks were sent around the table before each speech, which was such a fun idea for international guests. Ally and Grant took dancing lessons which 100% paid off. They looked like complete professionals during their first dance. Ally resembled Belle, from Beauty and the Beast. Thank you to the lovely couple for trusting me with such a big day, you were an absolute dream to work with!
