Holly and Gerald… aaah, what can I say about this lovely couple?! They are just the sweetest. I just want to hug Holly when I see her. They flew all the way from Germany to say their “I Do’s” here in Cape Town South Africa, and I am so glad they did!
They chose the lovely Hidden Valley to say their vows in front of a small amount of family and friends. You may already know this, but I adore intimate weddings. They are so special and I find the bride to be much more relaxed when she does not have to entertain 400 guests. Holly is so lovely and just wanted to make sure everyone was looked after and that Gerald also felt involved in the planning. I really enjoyed my Skype calls with the couple, we usually giggled and made jokes more than we worked, but we eventually got the job done.
Holly chose Botanica to do the flowers and decor, often, we get brides that go through every detail with a fine tooth comb. Holly literally sent me some pics and Botanica did the rest. She loved the look on the day and I was so pleased that she decided on a bit of colour for the over all look. It looked so pretty.
They enjoyed a beautiful sunset shoot on the Hidden Valley grounds. Who wouldn’t want to spend every minute in this beautiful place? The views are so amazing and Kristi Agier got some stunning shots of them.
The speeches were lovely, the food was awesome (Overture is incredible, just an FYI for those that have never been) the wine was flowing and the laughs were non stop. Please take your time to look at the cake cutting photos, these photos portray Holly’s amazingly fun personality. She was so happy throughout the day and was incredibly relaxed and laid back. They just wanted to take it all in and enjoy, and that is exactly what they did. It really makes me happy when couples can let go and enjoy!
