Cara did an amazing job as our wedding planner for our Franschhoek wedding. All of our coordination and planning was done remotely from the UK, and Cara gave us great peace of mind through her high levels of efficiency, deep experience and wide network of high quality service providers and vendors.

Cara was always available to us and gave clear, detailed responses to any of our many questions or asks relating to different service providers, how things are normally done and general advice. This made it incredibly easy for us to make informed and fast decisions in planning, while ensuring that our stress levels were minimised. There probably isn’t a more connected and informed wedding planner in the Cape Winelands region, who knows all the venues in great detail, as well as what works well and what doesn’t.

Cara was also always on top of when decisions needed to be made and by when, ensuring that we got all the service providers booked in time, as well as keeping us up to date if any information was needed from us or decisions needed to be made. She really streamlined the process for us as our point of contact to our vendors. She would also provide reminders on decisions that needed to be made in case we let things slip as we got distracted with normal life.

In the week before our wedding which could have been stressful, she gave us updates on the weather and was proactive at highlighting options for a tent for our outside dancefloor, and was very flexible and efficient at getting a 48 hour request for umbrellas across the line in time for the day.

On the day, she was always on top of all the details and ensured we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day. Working with Cara was a great experience, and we could not recommend her more highly.

We got married at Molenvliet Vineyard in Stellenbosch. We planned our wedding from overseas, so it was very important to us to have someone experienced on the ground who knows the suppliers and venue. Planning a wedding is not easy – planning a wedding during times of covid might sound like an absolute nightmare. Well, not when you have Cara as your wedding planner. My husband and I live in Canada and we decided to get married in Cape Town because of how much we love the city. Originally, I did not plan to hire a wedding planner but after two weeks of trying to communicate with vendors in different time zones and not understanding how the wedding industry runs there, I decided to hire someone. It was the best decision I ever made.

I learnt more in the first meeting I had with Cara than in all the research I had been doing for weeks. Cara made the process so easy, we told her what we were looking for in a venue and she was able to list off venues from the top of her head that would be suitable for us! In the months leading up to the wedding Cara guided me through everything that needed to be done.

At one point in time I emailed her saying “I’m worried that I am not stressed, it must mean that I am forgetting something.” Nope, she was just that on top of everything. In some areas I was very decisive and she was able to find vendors that met my specific requirements. In most cases I was very indecisive, which I hear makes things harder for the wedding planner and vendor’s. Cara was somehow able to understand what I wanted and made it happen! Throughout the planning process I changed my mind about things multiple times and Cara handled it with ease, never once did I feel she was frustrated with my indecisiveness.

She was very good with advising me vendors to hire and not hire, she advised me well in which area’s of the wedding I should spend money on, and which area’s were not necessary to put money into. On the day of the wedding, Cara made everything run soo smoothly. I remember the night before the wedding my mom asked when I was getting all the flowers, I said “I actually have no idea,” but someone just showed up at my house the morning of the wedding to deliver them, good thing Cara had a plan!

When I walked into the venue the day of the wedding I was in awe, it was more than I could have ever asked for. Everything was perfect and looked stunning! She also made sure the wedding ran on time by queing the DJ, wedding party and venue staff when to play the music, walk down the aisle and serve the food.

I am not exaggerating when I say I did not worry about a thing the day of the wedding. I was able to be fully present with my husband and guests and enjoy the whole day! Thank you so much again, I will never forget what you did for us. We still are still receiving comments about how much fun the wedding was and how it was so perfect, thank you for making it all happen.

My mom, whom was hesitant that we hired a wedding planner in the first place (being the typical Italian mother who always wants to be in control), was so impressed on the day she couldn’t stop singing your praises! Nothing went wrong (at least that we are aware of and, even if it did, you certainly never showed it or you just dealt with it so it never affected us). We don’t know where to begin… Lee and I started planning our wedding a year before the big day. We always new we were going to get married in Cape Town, South Africa​,​ even though we lived overseas.

This was where Mosaic Weddings came in and thank goodness, after a brief Skype chat I new that we had the right person for the job. Cara was not only organised but made both of us feel involved in every decision​ that was​ made.

We wanted to plan every part of our wedding but once we started dealing with venues and having no communication for days on end (mostly due to internet connection​ overseas​) I decided to contact ​The ​Mosaic ​W​edding ​C​ompany. Kurt and I got engaged and decided to host our wedding in his hometown, Cape Town. For me not knowing too much about the city as we live abroad, it was overwhelming. We searched the web and came down to 3 well-rated wedding planners and contacted them all. From our first meeting with Cara over skype, we knew right away that she was the one.

We felt so comfortable around her, she was very professional and above all, completely on top of her game!

I did NOT know a single thing about any of these hiccups. Everything was handled behind the scenes so I could live my fairytale day – and I did! If there’s any reason to hire her, it is for that alone.

No amount of money could buy the stress free day I had! We had a beautiful and memorable wedding day that we will cherish forever.

Now, let’s talk vendors. Cara has worked in the industry for some time. She has exquisite taste and I am quite picky. She can direct you to the best vendors that offer the best value. This is an asset to couples from overseas that are missing this information. She knows who is trustworthy, has good service, is cost effective etc. She has greats instincts when it comes to design and will help realize your vision. She is also very mindful of your budget and she actually saved us money at our venue!

Overall, my husband and I could not have been more grateful for Cara’s expertise. Our wedding was beautiful and we just received the gorgeous photos and video to prove it! My only regret is that we don’t live in Cape Town where we could hire her for more family events.

I met Cara at one of the first wedding expos that I went to, long before I thought I’d need a wedding planner. She caught my eye due to the beautiful table she’d set and the pretty stationery at her exhibition stall. Her business card was also so catchy that I still have it today (the 5 tips for a bride).

I started planning my wedding by myself, but then contacted her when I couldn’t find a stationer that I felt could make the invitations that I had in mind. So, instead of just getting someone to do my invites, I ended up with a planner – and what a blessing that was!

If Cara was not able to give me answers to my questions immediately she would always respond to confirm she had received my email and would get back to me as soon as she had the answers which she did.

Cara is very organized and is always on top of everything and made me feel calm when thinking that things were not going to plan or that we were running behind. Our wedding day had bit of a drama with the weather being awful. We were suppose to get married on the beach but unfortunately the wind was so strong that it was just not possible. They had to move the ceremony inside the reception room and it looked amazing, Cara was there from the start to make sure that it was still a special occasion and it truly was, better than I imagined actually.

Cara was there throughout the reception and it all went to plan, when we decided to cut the cake a bit earlier and when we changed the first dance to a bit earlier she made it happen.
Not once did I feel stressed about anything. She had it all under control and I will recommend her to everyone.

Before meeting up with the Mosaic Wedding Company we had met up with a few other wedding planners but upon meeting Cara we knew she would be the right person to plan our special day. I am a corporate Event Coordinator and so I am used to being the one who makes the arrangements and implements them. Cara was really understanding and respectful of that.

When we first met with Cara our wedding plans were quite complicated. My fiancé and I had gone from planning a small destination wedding in Mauritius with an informal celebration back home to planning a much larger, more traditional wedding at home in Cape Town. We had spent hours, days, weeks and months working on our original plans and felt somewhat despondent when they changed.

Cara’s assistance came at the perfect time, she helped to pick up the pieces and got us excited about our new plans. Slowly but surely everything fell into place and our dream wedding came together like a puzzle. Once Cara got involved we could see the bigger picture and work towards it. She negotiated pricing and represented Grant and I in a way which gave us peace of mind and built trust.
