What a lovely day to blog about this gorgeous wedding.
Justin and Nic were married at the stunning Old Mac Daddy in Elgin a few weeks back. They are one of the nicest couples I have ever met. I really enjoyed helping them plan their special day and I was over the moon with the overall results.
Matt Masson did a great job in capturing their special day and I know the couple are totally in love with their photos. The ceremony was held on their lawns and luckily the rain stopped and the sun came out just in time. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony where the couple “officiated” the whole thing on their own. There were a lot of happy tears and a lot of laughter.
Justin and Nic were surrounded by loving family and friends. They made a weekend out of their wedding event with friends coming up on the Friday night for a chilled braai. I love this idea as the couple can spend some down time with everyone before their big day.
Justin and Nic had some awesome ideas for their wedding. Botanica did an awesome job, as usual, pulling their ideas together and making them say “oh my gosh, it is beautiful” Justin’s face said it all when I showed them the decor setup. They wanted a minimal look with no flowers, but lots of greenery – well, Botanica delivered exactly that.
Tiana from T’s Tarts did the most amazing job with the candy table brief. Justin and Nic love the Marvel Comics and they really wanted this to be portrayed somehow. Tiana pulled out all the stops and she was sending me photos of her working through the night on this table to make sure it was perfect! Everyone loved it and even the staff at the venue took out their cellphones to snap some photos.
One thing I must mention is that Justin HAND MADE every single wedding favour. He drew a little cartoon character of each guest and framed it. How amazing is that and what a special gift to keep!
I loved this wedding and it is always so wonderful to receive positive and happy feedback from the couple after the wedding.
Justin and Nic – I wish you all the love, light and happiness in your what will most definitely be a VERY happy future filled with many, many laughs.
