Cape Town Wedding: Aries and Chelsey

Aries and Chelsey’s wedding at Vrede en Lust was just so beautiful!

They chose to honour Aries roots with a traditional Greek wedding ceremony, which was incredibly special and full of beautiful moments. There’s something so powerful about blending culture, family, and love into a ceremony like that, and it set the tone perfectly for the celebration that followed.

After the ceremony, guests moved onto the lawns for cocktail hour, and honestly, it was perfection. Sunshine (with a bit of cloud and a quick downpour during ceremony), live music, oysters, and the most delicious food by Table 7, it felt relaxed, festive, and exactly how it should feel. There were speeches, lots of laughter, and a buzz in the air!

The reception was a total showstopper. Dinner was set beneath a magnificent ceiling of greenery, florals, and oversized lampshades that created such a warm, romantic atmosphere. The tables flowed in a beautiful curved design, which made the space feel both intimate and dramatic at the same time. I loved seeing their faces when they saw the reception for the first time.

And then came the party. The draped dance floor area was the perfect stage for what turned into a seriously fun night, complete with traditional plate breaking and plenty of dancing. The energy was high, the smiles were constant, it was full of joy, music, and unforgettable moments.

Aries and Chelsey, your day was a true reflection of you both, meaningful, stylish, and so much fun. What a privilege to be part of such a special celebration at such a beautiful venue. I wish you both all the love in the world!
