Some weddings stay with you forever, not just for their beauty but for the warmth and love that surrounds them. Emma and Tyran’s wedding at Vrede en Lust was exactly that—a day filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that makes you feel like part of the family.
Living in the UK, Emma and Tyran chose the Cape Winelands for their destination wedding, bringing together family and friends from across the world. From the very beginning, I worked closely with Emma’s mom, Fiona, who was an absolute gem throughout the planning process. By the time I met Emma’s dad, I already felt like an honorary member of their family—a feeling that only grew stronger as the celebrations unfolded.
Fiona and I chatted for many months and made sure every little detail was taken care of.
Fiona is also a talented artist, and she is so many lovely little things for the wedding. She hand painted a hand held fan for every single person, she painted every guests name, she made signs for the pre event, and all of this honestly took months! It was so special! And lastly, she literally planted and grew flowers, picked them, pressed them and bought them to South Africa for the wedding cake!
The day itself was nothing short of magical. The venue was transformed with an elegant palette of blue and white florals, creating a romantic atmosphere. Every detail was carefully curated to reflect Emma and Tyran’s style—classic yet full of personality.
And then there was Emma. Not only was she a radiant bride, but she is also a phenomenal dancer! From the moment the music started, she lit up the dance floor, setting the tone for an unforgettable night of celebration. Tyran, equally as joyful, was right there with her, and together they made sure their guests had the best time.
The energy of the day was infectious—from heartfelt speeches to non-stop dancing, every moment was filled with love! It was a true privilege to be part of their journey, and I will always remember the warmth of their family and the pure joy that filled every second of their wedding day.
To Emma and Tyran—thank you for allowing me to be a part of your incredible celebration. Wishing you a lifetime of love, adventure, and, of course, many more dance floors to light up together!
See you in the Cotswolds in 2027 🙂
