Tanya and Mark’s gorgeous wedding in Cape Town

It’s that time of year when season calms down and I start to receive all the photos from the passed few crazy months of weddings. Today, I received the most stunning photographs from Tasha Secombe! I adore all of them and am so pleased that I am able to blog them.

Tanya and Mark are the sweetest couple (I know I say that about all my clients, but it’s always so true! I am very lucky) They live in Dubai, so they hired me to help plan their special day. Molenvliet was the chosen venue for their wedding, and it was such a perfect day.

Tanya and Mark had certain ideas about their day, they wanted their guests to feel special and welcome, they wanted to bring an African feel to their day and they wanted to dance! Well, we did all three pretty well! I really loved Tanya’s decor ideas. The venue looked so stunning! Chloe and Rowenna from Botanica did a fabulous job on this one! Quick tip – fairy lights are always a good idea!

Tanya’s dress – WOW! It was so stunning. It looked like it was honestly made just for her. It fitted like a glove and she just looked gorgeous. Mark’s face lit up when he saw her walk down the aisle. Lisa Brown made sure the bride and her bridesmaids looked super stunning all day long. Tanya was a picture of perfection!

Two Chefs did their thing in the kitchen and whipped up some amazing dishes for all the international guests to taste. Beate from the Birdcage added her final touch to the stunning dessert display by Overindulgence Boutique, with her very yummy wedding cake!

If you are looking for live music to really allow for great dancing, Shen is your guy! He rocked the dance floor with his band and the guests danced for hours! Talking about music, I must mention the African Band that played. Check out their link at the bottom, they were so much fun and they really bring the real sounds of Africa to the wedding day.

Mark also needs a special mention for his special surprise. He organised a slide show/movie for Tanya. He had been planning this for months! All the guests got involved in the making of it and there was not one dry eye in the house, including mine! I love it when a groom pulls out all the stops for his new wife, he secured some serious brownie points for pulling that off.

Tanya and Mark, you are both such genuine, real people. I loved planned your wedding and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you better. I wish you all the love and happiness in the world.
