Sandrine & Sam’s incredible Molenvliet Wedding in Cape Town

CANNOT.STOP.LOOKING.AT.THESE.PHOTOS!

Shoo – I totally adored this wedding and I totally adore this couple! I pretty much classify this lovely couple as my forever friends now 🙂

Sandrine and I hit it off the second we started our Skype call. It was actually a disaster on my part as the wifi  here in SA was not doing me any favors that day. The call kept cutting out and I eventually had to get onto whatsapp and chat to her from there. I honestly thought she was going to think I was useless and move on! Eeeek! But she didn’t, she hired me a few days later with a lovely email saying how much she enjoyed our conversation. Phew!

Sandrine & Sam had their hearts set on Molenvliet Vineyards, so even though we went to a few others, Molenvliet was 100% the only place for them. We spent a lot of time working all the logistics out, and I couldn’t wait until the wedding day!

Sandrine looked absolutely incredible in her wedding gown by Zuhair Murad. It honestly looked like it was made only for her. Sam looked dashing in his suit and he surprised his wife to be with the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen!

The ceremony was a beautiful affair and it looked stunning once Heike was done with it. The zulu dancers danced and sang the guests down to the cocktail area between the vines, and then Gerry Liberty took over the mic and sang to the guests while they sipped cocktails and tasted delicious canapes.

As usual, I can’t decide which photos to use for the blog. The incredibly talented Shanna Jones did an amazing job on this wedding. She really is insane at what she does and I was blown away by the photos she sent.

Heike pulled out all the stops and transformed the outside deck into a space that really took my breath away. It looked so beautiful and Sandrine and Sam were overjoyed when they saw it all come together. Just a quick shout out to the weather Gods on this one, thanks for sticking with me on this one 🙂

Before the reception started, the couple surprised their guests with another African dance in the courtyard. This was such a lovely idea. They really got involved and Sam landed up wearing an African head piece! It was such fun to watch them.

The reception was a stunning one. The lighting created a beautiful ambience on the deck and everything just looked gorgeous under the stars. The speeches were amazing and there was not a dry eye in the house after Sam was done. They danced the night away, ate the most amazing ice cream and made memories to last a lifetime.

Sam and Sandrine, thank you for treating me as if we had been friends for ever. I really enjoyed planning your wedding as well as getting to know you both, and I will miss our regular talks. Keep the champagne on ice for when I visit London. Wishing you only the best for your future together!

Thank you to these incredible suppliers! Without you, none of this would be possible!
