Emily and Russell were married at the lovely Jonkershuis Vineyard in Constantia. I have not done a wedding that is only a 5 minute drive from my house in ages! And as a wedding planner, I do a lot of driving! Loved this one!
Emily was super chilled and easy to work with. She wanted a relaxed yet elegant vibe to her day. They got married outside under a huge tree on the property and had their reception inside the restaurants courtyard.
Their bridal party were super sweet and had loads of fun during the photoshoot with Matt Masson.
After their shoot, they came back to a massive surprise, which Emily’s sister organised. We played “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, and all the guests started doing a surprise flash mob. The couple were completely blown away and even joined in towards the end. Such a great amount of effort went into this, it was so lovely to watch. As a wedding planner it is always so nice to see the guests make such an effort for two people.
Their couple shoot was amongst the stunning vines. Can we just take a short moment to look at her stunning dress and just realise there are pockets, pockets people!!! I love pockets in dresses, so I am slightly obsessed with her dress.
The decor by Botanica Flowers was super pretty! The venue looked so lovely inside and the colours looked really stunning in the candelight. The yummy rustic cake was made by Billy Boos and the simple yet statement stationary was made by Lara’s Designs.
Their reception was really lovely. Emily’s sister sang to the couple and her family from Ireland sent a surprise video where they also sang. Then their parents put together a slide show of memories, which was so special.
They danced the night away, took hilarious photos in the photobooth and had a wonderful night celebrating their love with family and friends. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness!
